Being Catholic can be both a joy and a struggle. A joy because it connects us to something far greater than ourselves and provides us with much needed meaning, guidance, and strength in our daily lives. A struggle because at times we can be misunderstood by our friends and colleagues, told we are "politically incorrect," or question our own commitment to our faith and its teachings. Our young adults group was formed to enhance the joys and ease the struggles.
St. Andrew's Young Adults Group (YAG) will be providing social, spiritual, and community service opportunities for young adult Catholics starting in September. The group is open to all singles, professional Catholics in their twenties and thirties, ,including young married couples. Our members cover the spectrum in how they define and practice their faith. Whether you heard about us through word of mouth, or at Mass on Sunday, you'll find newcomers as well as active members welcoming you to our community St. Andrew's.
All are welcome and we encourage our young adults of St. Andrew's to become a registered members of the Parish. Click for our online parish registration form. Even if you are not interested in becoming a Parishoner, we strongly encourage everyone to subscribe to our email newsleter in the lower left corner of this page.
People become part of St. Andrew's young adult community for various reasons. Some come for the social aspects and to meet others with similar backgrounds. Others have questions about their faith that they explore through our events. Some want to become more active in community service activities. Still others feel that in order to grow and be strong in their faith, they need to surround themselves and be active in a community of other Catholics like themselves. Whatever your reason, we want to invite you to join us at our next event.
