Confiramtion and Beyond for Adults is a program of preparation to receive the Catholic sacrament of Confirmation.
There are two options for preparation classes beginning September 15, 2008.
Option 1 - Confirmation candidates may attend a series of adult formation classes held Tuesdays, Sept. 16, Oct. 7, 14, Dec. 2, Jan. 13, 20 and Feb. 17.
Option 2 - attend the Emmaus Series offered several times during the year. The Fall dates for the Emmaus Series are: September 15, 22, 29, October 6, 13.
There will be an adult celebration of the sacrament of confirmation on Sunday, November 16, 2008 but you must register by September 10, 2008.

Requirements
Candiates for this sacrament should:
- Be a registered parishioner
- Be a baptized Catholic providing a current baptismal certificate
- Have made their First Communion and received the Sacrament of Reconciliation
- If married, must have been married in the Catholic Church
- Attend Sunday mass on a regular basis
- Have a Sponsor for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Confirmation candidates are encouraged to serve the parish in a specific ministry and/or serve at the St. Vincent de Paul family dining room.
Confirmation Sponsor
The Sponsor for Confirmation a Candidate must:
- Be a fully initiated Catholic; has received Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist
- If married, has been married in the Catholic Church
- Must be 16 years of age
- Provide a letter from their parish stating their active status
Confirmation Classes
Classes for adults wishing to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation will be held from 7 to 9 pm on:
Sept. 16 - Growing in the Spiritual LIfe
Oct. 7 - St. Paul-The Zealous Pharisee and a Roman Citizen
Oct. 14 - Conversion and Faith and the Cross of Jesus
Dec. 2 - Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation
Jan. 13 and 20 - Ministry and Leadership in the Writings of St. Paul
Feb. 17 - Living Catholic Values
Confirmation candidates may also attend the Emmaus series offered three time each year. Fall sessions begin Monday, Sept. 15 from 7 to 9 pm in the Adult Center. Those attending the Fall Emmaus sessions will be eligible to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Please register by September 10, 2008.

Confirmation Retreat
Retreat opportunities will be offered throughout the year at St.Andrew or a confirmation candidate my choose from retreat programs in Arizona and California.
